Project Details

Joint Operations had been relying on manual reporting processes built around Sage exports, Excel manipulation, and a fragile Power BI report originally created by a citizen developer. Each week, finance had to export data, reconfigure spreadsheets, refresh reports manually, and manage errors caused by inconsistent data handling.

Cloudbliss rebuilt the reporting environment properly from the ground up. The new Power BI suite connects directly to the client’s SQL database, which is fed by Cin7, creating a more reliable data foundation.

The reporting suite spans 11 pages, including an executive dashboard, sales performance, daily sales tracking, sales rep analysis by product group, target tracking, invoice payments, credit notes, admin data views, and an email distribution page for automated reporting.

Row-level security was implemented across three role tiers. Sales reps only see their own performance data. Division managers see all data for their division. Admins see the full dataset.

To make the solution scalable, Cloudbliss also built a Power Apps and SharePoint admin layer behind the report. This allows the finance team to manage targets, permissions, and matrix data as the business evolves, without needing a developer for every operational change.

The project was delivered by 2 Power BI developers, working directly with the finance department and directors.
