AI-Powered Gene Analysis Application for Chenot

Chenot’s lab team needed a faster way to process gene analysis outputs and provide doctors with usable interpretation reports. The previous process was highly manual and could take up to two days per case, delaying the point at which doctors could advise patients.
Cloudbliss built a Power Apps Canvas application that allows the lab team to ingest machine-generated gene analysis exports and combine them with additional client context. This included medication information, configurable gene templates, adjustable thresholds, and a proprietary prompt structure.
The application sends the structured data to an AI model using an HTTP integration. A RAG implementation was included so that the interpretation process could draw from a controlled knowledge base and improve operational consistency over time.
The resulting AI-generated report analyses how genes interact with each other and produces a structured health profile with suggested pathways for improvement. The lab team runs the tool, while doctors use the final report to support patient guidance.
The project was delivered by 2 developers, 1 technician, and the COO overseeing delivery.
Results
- Gene analysis time reduced from up to 2 days to around 10 minutes
- Around 20 analyses per week supported
- Estimated 300+ hours saved weekly compared with the previous manual process
- Faster turnaround for doctors and patients
- Configurable templates and thresholds allow the platform to evolve without a rebuild
- Proprietary prompting and knowledge base support more consistent interpretation
- Lab team gained a repeatable workflow for AI-assisted gene analysis
